I could hear a call centre in the background, and I had already rated the phone call from Microsoft I had nearly an hour beforehand. As soon as I said “hello” it went straight to a virtual recording asking me to rate my current experience I just had, which was nothing, I had already rated and closed the issue so I didn’t rate. After 3 attempt to get me to rate, it told me it would send me an email where I can still do so, which never arrived.
I have been hacked a lot lately and someone even broke into my house recently and stole my password list from my wallet. Be careful out there people. Fake representation everywhere!

Caller: Kenny, from Executive Customer Relations Received 2 consecutive calls but did leave a short message, and a follow up email too. I had previously logged a Microsoft Complaint online so seemed somewhat legit. However, they say they didn't have any information on my issue nor a case ID file. We arranged for them to call me back again at a prearragened time, which they did. Seemed sympothetic enough to my issue and listened well. They wanted a bunch of account information and wanted to get access our computer online. Seems dodgey. I asked which country was she calling from? She told me West Africa! The email address seems legit but there is no other microsoft branding on the email, and no way to cross check. THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING. It could be legit but no way to know.

Caller: Said Microsoft Phone number was coming up as suspicious. I had tried to get a callback from Microsoft last week but could not log in so I could not get onto someone. I tried to ask sales to get someone from tech to call back and they said no. This woman knew what my issue was but when I said I needed to ID the call and could she please email me which they have done in the past, she said agitated, "don't you want help?" and I repeated the call is coming up as suspicious and I need to identify it. Can you please send an email so she said ok I will email instead and I explain no, while on the phone to identify and she hung up. She acted very sus and I feel MS needs to check their workers for those doing side scams. If legit, they need to have a way to ID their call backs. It is very concerning. I have received no email.

Caller: Microsoft (LEGITIMATE) A gentleman called from Microsoft. Clearly a foreign call centre, but was calling about a genuine account enquiry. He was polite, and also offered plenty of advice on how we can maximise our use of the full Microsoft Office suite as per our subscription. This was a legitimate business call.

Caller: Microsoft 365 Data Protection Team Received 2 consecutive call attempts from this number, both not leaving a message. Had previously raised a MS support case so based on the feedback here decided to call them back. Was greeted with a female machine generated voice (seeminly played 1.5x speed) which sounded suspicious so hung up. If MS ready this, they should at least leave a message with some details pertaining to the caseid so that the customer can correlate and know how to get back in touch or know there's a followup email coming. I shortly afterward (within 10 mins) received a support email from the team summarising their call attempt and reason for trying to get in touch.
