Caller had information on our company’s that hadn’t been operating for a few year and claimed we had a payment to us and wanted banking details. Suspect a definite scam

Yes they are likely a legit company, but who in their right mind in this day and age would provide their banking details over the phone to a foreign sounding person from a call centre based on an unsolicited call. They said they were calling on behalf of Deloittes who wanted to make a payment and needed to confirm bank details. I told them to refer back to their client.

It is legitimate. Nothing like outsourcing bank detail confirmations to overseas operators.

Legit call. Thought it was spam at first because of the 02 code, but checked our records and a client of ours did engage with Eftsure for our payment which the caller mentioned in the voicemail they left.

Genuine caller validation process prior to transmission of funds. Anti fraud measure. Genuine. Caller had specific information known only to a vendor.

Same, I provide services to a company. They left a voice message and said they had to check my bank details to be paid on behalf of my client. I had new bank details. I found this awkward. I called them back and discovered a month later they charged my call close to $10.00 for less than 9 minutes (waiting time). Absolutely no warning you are charged when you call them. Obviously a scam, their website doesn't warranty they're legit!

Asking for verification of bank details. Said they were from Melbourne AND Western health. When I asked what they needed it for they said to transfer money into. When I kept asking questions, they said are you familiar with Melbourne and Western health? I said no and they said they'll let their team know. Like what?

Rang me on New Years Eve to confirm the company i work for banking details. I don't think so. If it was that important they would have details of the correct contact.

Introduced himself and explained why he was confirming the bank details, provided part of the details they had already been provided by the customer engaging their services.
Answered my questions and provided our customers name/details without pause/hesitation.

SCAM! I checked the comments here and a few were saying it was real. Contacted the company who was paying me first and they said they were not connected. Definite scam.

Had a call from Leo today. They wanted my bsb and account number. She provided 3 bogus digits, and a the wrong spelling of my business.
Felt like a definite scam call with the view to some sort of financial fraud.
