Rang from this number claiming to be from Microsoft "about our licenses". I asked for a number to return the call, was given (03) 9115 7338. I asked what part of Melbourne he was in, he said he would look it up. He then said "North Sydney". I asked if that was "North Sydney, Melbourne" and he said yes. When I said North Sydney was not in Melbourne he hung up on me. SCAM. Respond at your own risk.

Caller: Ski Repeat calls from this number, insisting to talk to us about our Microsoft licence as it comes to an end. I told him that we got IT to look after this so we don't need advise and he just hung up.
Then call us again a couple days later... same conversation repeat .
Annoying as he has a fish memory.

Repeat calls from this number (we've had 5 calls in 2 days) leaving a long voicemail of several minutes, with no actual message. Occasionally can hear someone breathing/sniffing. Makes me think they are staying on the line to waste time and appear productive.

Caller: Ski Got a call from "Ski" claiming to be from microsoft and that our license was expiring. I asked if I could call them back, tried to leave me with a number but I said I would just google the microsoft number. Ski was annoyed by that. I mentioned that the best way to make sure something isn't a scam is to google the number instead of calling back on the number they provide.

The caller checked out. He sent me an email from @microsoft.com address. This is not to say that a call you receive from this number is not a scammer who is mimicking the Microsoft number but this time, the caller from 9051 2533 was in fact a legit Microsoft Licensing analyst.

Caller: (02) 9051 2533 Appears to be affiliated with Microsoft (Licensing). Cold calls to remind end of life support on licensed MS products. Does not push a sale.
Knew our information, names and email addresses. Did not try to sell anything but informed to get into contact with our MSP in relation to end of life service support with Microsoft. Also suggested to look into M365 license as opposed to E3 because M365 is better value but did was not after a sale. Not a scam.

Caller: "Nadia" from Microsoft Wanted to discuss MS subscriptions coming to EOL. Requested email address, when asked how it came bout they had the number but not email contact, they replied with a generic email contact address we use. Seemed taken aback when told we have an integrator/reseller who handles our monthly Microsoft subs.

Caller: (02) 9051 2533 Caller said they were from Microsoft and that they wanted to know our budget for licensing for 2022. I asked her to send an email and she quoted an email address I hardly use. No email came through. Microsoft don't ever cold call and ask for a budget. I googled the phone number and got this site. This site is a great service thanks.

Scam indeed but not sure what they're after though... as per the questions they asked. Seem to have quite detailed info about licenses.

Caller: Assam from Microsoft Assam supposedly from Microsoft calling again about licences. Told him that he had previously called on (03) 9115 7344 which had been flagged as scam calls from Microsoft. Told him to send any requests by snail mail. We was quite surprised being called out and wasn't sure what to say after that. He said he would send me an email even though I hadn't provided him with my email address. Still waiting!
