I suggest buying a CALL GUARDIAN" phone from Telstra. Costs around $80. It blocks all calls except those number that you choose to enter into a "permitted" directory. Everyone else is asked to leave a message. The scammers won't bother. I haven't had a nuisance call since using this device. Only works on landlines.

Morons with an Indian accent. Must think Australians are dumb. Tried to sell me light bulbs I told them where I would like to shove that!

Always calling. When my answering machine kicks in they hang up and have never left a message so I don't answer. Pests!

Caller with an accent, perhaps Chinese, stated, "Sir, you might remember we replaced your light bulbs awhile back and now have a new energy saving monitor". I said we have one. He hung up in my ear.

Caller: grubs

i told these guys in hindi "muda chud"..which means they biff their mum he called me back three times i told him to come over if he knows where i live ....

Caller mumbled something about solar energy. Told the caller to take my number off their list, that my number is on the 'Do Not Call' register, and that they are breaking Australian Federal Law by phoning on this number. Caller said, 'Shut up' and hung up.

I have had this number phoning me a few times over the last few weeks.
I don't answer and they hang up when it goes to voicemail.

Caller: Accented Indian man

Said he was in my area and could install a PowerPal to help me save money with electricity. I said I'll ask my husband. He said please supply your address. I just said Mount Martha. He said "Where is that?" I said "you said you were in my area and you are calling from NSW. He said sorry to bother you and hung up.

Phone rang at 6pm.

I did not recognise the number so I did not answer.

Keeps calling about international use of my email

Caller: I don’t know

A very poor attempt at speaking English. Told me my email address had sent porn overseas. I told them to ring the police. She got quite angry so I just hung up.

rings 2-3 times every day I don't answer numbers I don't know any more so fed up with it

Called our business line claiming we are eligible for electricity rebates, then said I sounded pretty on the phone and asked for my mobile number

Said they were acting with Vic and Federal Gov re government rebates on energy efficient goods. Said I wasn't interested, had all the equipment I needed.
Would not stop talking so I hung up

Caller: Solar Sales

Asked about if I was interested in solar. Told them we already have solar and he said we didn’t and we shouldn’t lie as it’s not showing on the maps.

When he was told it was installed 3 days ago he mumbled and hung up.

Truth is, we don’t have solar.

l answered and he knew my name and said remember a long time ago about replacing lights and l said did you change them here, didn't answer asked again still wouldn't answer. l hung up he rang straight back. We don't take any of the scammers up on their offer, generally don't answer the phone let it go to answering machine if they don't leave a message can't be important.

I don't answer calls on my landline any more if I don't recognise the number. And 99% of the time the ar**holes don't leave a message.
