I called back number (02) 9016 7320 spoke to a female rep who said company is arc or Australian Recoveries & Collections.

I have no idea who owns the (02) 9016 7320 number but I returned their call by mistake. I asked who they were and 'Jeriah' who answered the phone would not say who owns the number ("can not say for legal reasons"). When I asked to be removed from their database he aggressively moved to close down the call. Whoever owns this number are NOT a legitimate business. Their call answer system automatically picked up my phone number so Jeriah was able to quote details about me. Do not call them or take calls from them.

I received a call from this number is it legit?

Again today more harassing calls, no one leaving a message. When I rang them back yesterday the system put me through to the information about optus and how to purchase their products. I have never been with Optus. But I do know that my mobile was hacked today and I will be contacting the accc tomorrow to lodge a complaint. They are now blocked on all phones

Another call today, no message left, have contacted the ACCC. I had to obtain a new sim card from my provider as the phone had been hacked.

harrasing me constantly over a debt that was finalised 6 mths ago

I have received another call from this number this morning, there was no actual message left, it was a man speaking in Chinese it was not understandable. I will be making enquiries to fair trading on what to do about this scam

I had messages same as Becky when I did get onto the call DAVID he stated that I owed money which I do not. I said that I was not paying and that he was to stop calling. He said, If you had been nice to you I may have written your debt off but I am not going to now. He said, I am sick of people being rude to me and pretended to cry. I stated if you call this number once more I would contact the appropriate authorities. I tried to call back and there was a message that I had contacted the ARC Collections and all their operators are busy. Is this a SCAM?

i didnt accept there call and had some man rant on my voicemail for a minute and a half about debts and black listings didnt even make any sense to me! i also received a text from ARC saying to call a number in regards to a balance owing... i do no owe anyone money i only have a phone contract with telstra which i pay every month

Yes they keep calling and calling they are pissing me off bad. Debt collectors what a laugh and when you say who the f...k are you they want you to confirm your name and address, well i said if you rang me then you should know all this dufus and hung up. in this day and age and the pressure that people are under u have these stupid people calling. also watch out guys they operate on mobile too. LOL
