I suspect that the either need to get 1 donation, or have unsuccessfully called 5 customers to achieve the quota stipulated with the charity. They probably also have to let it ring a certain amount of time. So, if you pick up quick enough you get the "hang up" in your ear. Also that's they dont leave a message, too time consuming.

Ignored the call and then called it back as I knew it would of been some charity call. Was the Kidswish charity.

Telefundraiser. Probably some company ripping charities off by taking a large chunk of funds raised as commission. Fast talkers using emotional blackmail to sting people who can least afford to help.

pest fed up with it calling me all hours and never rings long enough for me to answer and when i do noone speaks or hangs up have blocked on house phone now they try my mob sick of it
