Similar to above. And I attempted to throw some questions like TCP/IP protocol and the caller was unable to respond. She also claimed that if I ring Telstra support line on 132200 it will be impossible to be directed to her as she is from "Head office" in Melbourne. Then hang up on me very rudely.

A guy saying he is from Telstra in Melbourne, and notifying me my IP is public, ask me to install some crap from app store, and read the 9 digit number to him. so I made 9 digit number to satisfy him. He sounds very excited.

Must be scam call. The caller told he’s calling from Telstra, also spoke my name out. He said my cell phone IP on public, it’d leak my data to public. Asking me to search ‘Showmyip’, then telling me to download ‘any desk’ on Google play store.
Everyone need to be careful, if you download it, your data gonna be public for real

I actually had a problem and was waiting for a call from Telstra. They claimed that my IP address was compromised and they were trying to get me to download an app in the App Store. There I got bit sus and told them I will check with Telstra. Then they gave me another number and asked me to call to confirm whether the call is genuine. I tried that number and hanged up as I knew someone from their team is going to say it’s genuine. As I expected , someone from that number called me and said it’s genuine and they are from Telstra.meanwhile I got in the Telstra app and asked them about this number and they said it’s not Telstra. Then they kept calling me so many times and I did not answer then the lady rudely asked me why I’m not answering there phones. As I was waiting for a call from Telstra I was about to get trapped into this scam.

Claimed they are from Telstra, found my Internet IP been hacked, and have no idea who my internet service supplier is. 99% a scam.

Called me twice. Missed both times & didn’t return call. May be a scam caller.

Called saying they were from Telstra and that there was a problem with my internet. I questioned how do they know I'm with Telstra to which the caller said some rude things and hung up.
