I received 2 calls within two days claiming to be from TruEnergy (male & female Indian accent) and requesting my DOB etc.. I refused and said I would call TruEnergy myself on the phone number I have on my statement/website. I called TruEnergy today and all my accounts are balanced and they have no records/requirements for these phone calls.

Next time they call me I will feed them some false information and see if they run with it.

Just got 2 calls from this number - first left a message of some beautiful 80's on-hold music.  The second was a message from an Indian call centre on behalf of Tru Energy asking to call them back on a 13 number (133466).I think i've had a couple of other missed calls from this number before, but this is the first time a message has been left! If you are a Tru Energy customer, this could be your answer.

i to have had this number call me and missed the called. like every one else has when they ask for detail ask for their and name and i.d numbers. the company where it is based the nature of the call why they are bothering you and ask their d.o.b hows there family and hows work going and are they bored with life what religion they are and do they go to church. and keep asking them questions i think theywill not ring back but you will have enough on them to send and locate when you take your phone to the police

These mo'fo's are calling me now.. Answer the call.. 'hello?' - no response.. they then proceeded to call back 15 times, each time the line is silent except for my hellos..

Called truEnergy on the 133466 number to make a complaint... and the lady was not interested.
Couldn't tell me if the number - (02) 8987 5333 - was a truEnergy number, and couldn't explain the lady with the american accent on the recorded message.
Think i just found reason enough to change providers.

I too have phone calls from this number with nothing on the other end when I answer. I have even tried ringing it and all I get a Yank recording asking me to stay on the phone and wait for an operator... I have waited, sometimes for 10 mins... and still nothing.

Help... who is it?
