Caller: Unsolicited phone call

A rude man calling to sell something tax related. Despite advising him that I was currently unemployed and not working, his cold and unempathetic response was “hardly anyone works on the weekend”. When asked to take my number off the list, he continued to try and sell.

Very persistent, to the point of harassing.
I mentioned that at this time I was not interested, due to everything going on.
I could not recall downloading an e-book???
He repeated I did.
I said now is not the time to talk about finances (re lockdown etc)
That I will call back when/if I wanted advice.

He was so insistent about scheduling a call back, and I kept saying I would like the choice to decide when I would contact.
Again, he went on.
I ended up telling him to NOT contact me again, and AGAIN, he started a new "tact".
I then got to the point of requesting to be taken off all databases, and NOT to contact me again.
I have blocked number.
Silly Boy.
I am in Sales as well, and he just "blew the close"
He did NOT listen to me at all.
My advice, Block this number.

Dave you are a pathetic, get a real job - sad, sad, sad, sad man. Although he might have a some kind of mental problem in which case I am sorry Dave. I hope you get the help you need.

My name is David and I’m a real person with a real family. I look for empathy in others and dedicate my life to helping people and their families. I used to work as an engineer for big resource companies improving their business. I also worked as a volunteer ambulance officer at the same time I have worked these paid jobs. Doing this across our great land in the more regional areas of South Australia and WA was tough, but now I use my knowledge of math and science to help people improve their personal financial situation. I am the first port of call, and more than that I try to help every person I speak to. Even if we are not able to be of assistance from a business/ongoing relationship, I still try to point them in the right direction. I do this by, for example, getting them the right educational e-book for their particular interest and situation. I’ve talked to 100’s of people who have downloaded our ebooks and 1000's of others; So I’m not worried about a few trolls here and there (haters gonna hate). Apologies to those I may have caught at a bad time however we really do help people make and save money. Hopefully we can make and save you alot of money too. I called back number (02) 8922 2668 reached voice mail but did not say for what company.

I just had a call from a younger male called Dave. He asked me about my business, he enquired about my name. He then made a comment about not being interested in a business which uses an agency, because it's a weak way to run a business. (Hilarious) He hung up but he never really explained who he was or what the call was regarding. It unnerved me so I have blocked his call. I do wonder what his end game is, possibly he just a sad pest that enjoys calling people for company.

Has called my number 5x in the last two days, but never leaves a message. Seems to be using multiple phone numbers all starting with 8922 (8922 2611, 8922 2620, 8922 2669, 8922 2668) Have blocked all these numbers and hoping they don't have more!

Caller: Dave

Someone trying to sell financial advice. He began his call by telling me that he was making a courtesy call. When I corrected him and said that the definition of a courtesy call is when you've done work for a customer and you call to check if the customer is happy with the work. If there's no existing business relationship, it cannot be considered a courtesy call. He tried to argue with me about this for five minutes.
He must be on drugs, because he simply didn't understand.

Similar to other messages here, caller would not let me go after i said several times that I had a work meeting to attend to. Eventually i just had to hang up to get to my meeting.

Very pushy salesperson, claiming to be presenting me with investment options, and wanting further information on my financial position. Speech and arguments were unrelentless, borderline bullying, unnecessarily. Made me think this guy is a psychopath.

Persistent in attempt to propose financial planning advice and said I had contacted them initially and it was a call back. Did not listen to my several polite statements that I am not interested so I hung up and blocked the number. A pest after financial details hoping to find a vulnerable person to steal from.

Caller: "Dave"

Very persistent sales person who would not let me go despite my polite responses that I have to jump off to a work meeting in 1 minute. Claims to sell financial advisory services, and tried very hard to obtain financial information from me.

Hung up on him ultimately.

Agree with the other comments - a very persistent man asking for personal information such as my current salary and my mortgage etc. To then tell me that I didn't qualify for their services anyway!
