So apparently if u call 000 now, ur information is passed on to these ppl to sell ya 79.95 teddy bear, of which, btw, u don’t have to pay for until 4 weeks later! She spun me a story about how 000 is a free service & this is how they ‘support’ this service.... really? Because I got a pretty substantial bill from SA Abulance Services!
IF this is true, I think it’s disgusting our personal information is being released from such services
I have put my home and mobile numbers on the Do Not Call Register, but am still receiving calls from this number. What Next? Caller: Telemarketers
This isn't a charity. It is a commercial company (making profits) by collecting donations on behalf of a charity. They shouldn't be allowed to call people on the DO NOT CALL register.
Two months later and they are back calling me again. So much for asking them to never call me back. Please note - this isn't the charity calling - it is a telemarketing group calling on behalf of the charity. They are making money from the donations. If you donate to them, you are wasting your money - only about 10% of it makes it to the charity.
Also, it is impossible to contact these people. If you call back you get a recorded message and they don't tell you who they are, just that they are calling for a charity.
Let it go thru to the keeper and got heavy breathing as a message. I think you've been given false information about 000 calls. ESTA are not permitted to disclose any details about 000 calls they receive. If the charity callers are claiming this, they are trying to justify their calls. A lot of them are now using computer programs to generate calls, thus bypassing the Do Not Call Register, hence why you will get a spate of calls from the same charity using different numbers. You block one, they call from a different number. wont stop calling... Re Julie's comment 'if u call 000 now, ur information is passed on...' - If this is truly the case, I'm very unhappy with it. I recently called 000 in mid August '18 and again in early Sept '18 for my mum from her ph. Mid Oct started getting these missed calls on mum's ph and early Nov '18 still getting them. Very upsetting if true, mum passed early Sept '18. Maybe I'll answer and get their details and take it from there. Disappointing. Caller: Scammers
This people call me today 9/1720 at 10:50 am to offer me a teddy bear to support the community and that I could pay it after 4 weeks. The person that call me was a person from australia his english was australian and that is sad the Australian people are doing this to their own. please hung up the call don't give any dtails.
Keep getting numerous unknown calls from this number & many others, hear people talking in background once when l opened phone, l hung up immediately, sick of it. Tried blocking numbers on phone, no help there. Like to know how these scammers get everyone's private unlisted phone numbers no matter if landline or mobile.. Do not call register is a joke. did not answer when i picked up the phone, did not even left a message the previous call. Dodgy Caller: (02) 8917 0032
Caller said she was calling from Careflight Australia, she was selling bears (a married couple) at a cost of $79 each or something, and all but $15 was tax deductible. When I asked why I couldn't see them on the website I was told they were so new they weren't on there yet (told me a full on back story to the bears), and I said I'd wait until I could see a pic of them and I'd buy them online through Careflight and was told if I purchase through the website I wasn't able to get a tax deduction at all...total bull...
These calls are really persistent. I blocked them on my mobile, but the log of when they try to call still shows up. They called again a few days ago, then again yesterday afternoon, then once more this morning. This time I rang back and followed the instructions of the automated message to put mobile number in if I didn't want any more calls. No idea whether that will work. They are an actual charity but it seems like an odd way for a charity to operate. Anyway, hopefully that's it!
answered. no one answered.
This particular caller has rung my number every morning for the past 4 days and never left a message.
A feature on my Samsung alerts me that a call may be potentially fraudulent. I have managed to avoid answering a quite a few calls with it. I blocked the number after the first call, but handily, my phone keeps track of subsequent caller attempts.
Heavy breathing then got disconnected. I'm on this "Do Not Call" registered list and still receive these types of calls.
What a joke!!
I don't think so!!
just tell them you are on busy can they hold every time they do it and waste their time and money and they will quickly take you off their list thats what I do Caller: (02) 8917 0032
Had this number call me twice now - about two weeks apart. Fortunately, my phone marks it with a warning as Potential Fraud.
Got the call today from Sydney location. Terrible being spammed and scammed during this time of need.
