i was at work but kindly said yes for the survey because the guy sounded kind and polite not like a scam. it took a min to start the survey. but when i said i do not want to be recorded, he straight away turned off the phone without saying a word. looks like i m not useful anymore and dumped me straight away. bit disappointed.

Has called a number of times over the last week

I ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to answer any number that is not in my Phone Book.

I am really curious how they got my number as it is not listed and I am very very careful not to advertise or give out my number.

Some company who has no idea what the "DO NOT CALL REGISTER" is and willingly violates it. Welcome to a new kind of displeasure, you horrible people.

Missed a call from (02) 8912 5632 didn't know the number, googled it, came up with being a research company for Tourism Research Australia. Well hey I don't want to know. So I've blocked further calls from this number, thx guys for having this info on your website :)

Called 3 times in a week, never leaves a message

Received the call at 8:30 PM from a Sydney number I refused to answer as I thought it was suspicious from what I've read here seems to be a dodgy number.

Called me numerous times over the past week. 8.15pm at night. Get a life clowns

Have blocked the number, my phone is for my safety and my use not to be harrassed by people I do not know. All calls that are not in my phone book do not ring. The do not call list should not allow any engine searches to just call at random. It is like being attacked in your own home. Disgusting they have rights that override our rights to privacy.

Caller: Engine market research

Called every night after 8pm for a week straight, never left a message. Finally answered to be told they were doing market research for tourism in Australia told them I wasn't interested until they told me where they got my number from. Wouldn't tell me so I hung up.

If they are not in my contacts I don't answer the call this is the third time they have called could be scam.

I received a call from this number at 4:55 PM. When I answered, the line immediately disconnected. From the comments above, although annoying, it is not a scam. Their calls use random digit dialing, so they don't have anyone's personal information. They are also exempt from the do not call list. As Engine appears to be a legitimate market research company, they would do well to at least leave a brief voicemail message. As it stands, the above comments suggest they sow a lot of distrust.

called 5 times within a month. did not leave any voice message. i blocked the number.

Managed to miss 3 calls from (02) 8912 5632, Saturday midday, Sunday afternoon and Monday night. Googled the number and found this platform with info, most useful, thanks everyone. So have just gone and blocked the number forever. Would just say best not to waste energy in being annoyed, if a nuisance caller gets through, if you can be bothered, can always provide random answers like pineapples, pears and monkeys towards their ever so useful surveys.

Called 7.14pm on Friday and two days later 12.50pm Sunday. No message. I have blocked the number.
