They said they're from Budget Direct and tried to sell me life insurance. Very forceful on the phone they are, but you have to shoot them down in flames. They ought to know better to call you while you're having dinner.

This number is for Hollard Financial Services calling on behalf of one of its partners - Medibank Private, Budget Direct, Real Insurance, Australian Seniors, Aussie or Guardian Insurance.

i got one from pet insurance

interesting thou as i made an internet inquiry but did not proceed as the dog was too old.
But i did not give my mobile phone number so how did they get it.
I am thinking they got it from an insurance policy i do have.

I entered my details in to the RSPCA quote form and just got a call now which I didn't answer, deciding I should google who was calling first - and I'm glad I did!

I've sent them an email requesting that they remove my phone number from their database.

i find which worked with a couple of other telemarketers stalking that if i answered the call but just put the phone down and carried on watching tv or whatever they soon gave up as they then get charged for the call as youve picked up

Have had a few missed calls from this number, the fact it is an 08 area code and not 03 made me immediately suspicious. I tend not to answer calls from unknown numbers and let them leave a message. This one called 3 times but no message left. Glad I googled it, I did a quote with budget and got their $100 cheque as they couldn't beat AAMI, plus I have health insurance with Medibank so could be either.

Missed a call from them. Phoned the number back. Got a recorded message saying that someone from either Hollard, Real Insurance, Medibank Private, Budget Direct or someone else (forget who) tried to call me. Sounds like some kind of insurance telemarketing mob that the above insurance companies obviously contract out. Either way, I look forward to screwing with them when they call back.

I recieved a call from this number after requesting a quote for pet insurance. I find it rude and invasive that they make you put your mobile number in before proceeding then use it to hassle you!

Trying to sell me medibank life insurance and income protection insurance in relation to "a letter they sent out" (which I actually saw the day after the call).
They already have your personal information if you are a pre-existing customer.

Got two calls from this number today. Answered the second call, girl called Alice (Aussie at least) saying she's from BUPA, asking that as I had car insurance with them would I like a quote on life insurance. I'd canceleld my car insurance a week prior. Had to decline but she wasn't particularly pushy at least.

Just got a call. Seemed suspicious from the start. I made an excuse to get rid of the call. Said they would call back but Ill just avoid till they give up.

As seems to be the case with the majority here - I did an online quote for RSPCA Pet Insurance however decided not to pursue this option as I found it far too expensive and read some terrible reviews after completing some research.

The next day (and every day thereafter) they have called consistently. 3 calls today alone and it's only the early afternoon. Exceptionally frustrating.

I signed up for the rspca info pack (which never comes) over a month ago and have been getting them calling ever since. If they want to hand out their calls to a bunch of f'n idiots who harrass people, I have no interest in going through them. Good job rspca.....you've lost any business from me! Do your own dirty work, don't harrass and you might get somewhere.

calls never seem to end-5 rings then they hang up only to ring back ten minutes later-ring mobile number but don't leave a name-couldn't find the number sontact on reverse look up BAD NEWS this number

I always suggest if what they r trying to sell is so good they should take it out themselves & leave me the f alone, they normally get the hint & don't call back!!
