I received this call from some this morning . He left message on my phone which is hardly audible. Asked me to call back Dr stoneink. Sounds crap to me. I did not call back. I don't know any dr with such name . I have no appointment with anyother doctors so i thought this some sort of trap to get me into. Caller: Sounded like Stone Ink
They left faint message for xxxxx xxxxxxx who is a relative and left a reference number starting with 9.
Thanks to this reverse phone number link I'm the wiser not to answer nor reply.
Hi , just to let you Know , I returned your call and a man answered the phone asked details of my husbands name, and refused to give any further information , and told me to give a reference no 98026. I asked questions what it was all about and again said to ring and quote the no. So I had research your phone No and found out what your all about? My husband , claims he getting all strang calls on his mobile , I may have clicked on to a link, and now everyone has our details! Well , just to the Lady who called , we are not obligated to return your call , and we are not interested to speak to you at all . DO NOT CALL MY MOBILE. Caller: Stoneink
What happens when you ignore them
Caller: They said they were Amazon
The said that they were Amazon International. At that point I hung up. Took a bit of research but I eventually found this website and the info that they usually are a debt collection agency. They seem to have changed their MO away from fake debts to Amazon. I had trouble finding who they are because I am in Southern England and sites such as this one in the UK had no info on this number. Maybe I'm an early try at "international being a tosser."
Happy Christmas to all in Australia Stay Safe and I hope to visit when the restrictions lift.
I received a message from this number just now, asking me to 'Contact Stone. Reference number is xxx'. This is definitely spam. Got a call from these guys. Were chasing up something I had forgotten to pay after I had moved address - I was happy to keep my credit history clean so I arranged payment. I reckon if you aren't a scammer avoiding your debts, these guys are legit. He asked if I new anyone by there name and they were living at my house with me there looking for her I don’t have anyone living with me that I know of lol Caller: Stoneink Collections (02) 8838 5050
Debt collector who went through a family members Facebook account to find my number. The are very close to a breach of privacy because that have indirect informed another party that you have a debt with them. I have no debt they are chasing someone you know for information about their current contact details
Debt collecter!! Caller: A lady with strong foreign accent
She spoke with my husband who gave our surname, but he could'nt understand her accent. I phoned them back to ask who they were ...a financial company. I explaiined that my husband couldn't understand her accent. "no it wouldn't have been me, I've only just come in' !!!! She asked for his surname, which I gave, but she said she couldn't find it. 'What is his mobile?' 'I said you just called it so you should have it.' ' What did the message he got say?' 'He didn't get one.' Oh, she said maybe they got the wrong person and to just ignore the call.'
A man called my husband again 10 mins later but hung up when he answered
Don't answer their calls
Inaudible Caller: stone Ink
Debt collection asking if I knew of someone with the same last name. Asked how they got my number and lady told me I must have just come up in the dead h
what they are doing is totaly illegal , you cannot pursue a dept in Australia after 4 to 6 years let alone ten years ago , report them This number is from a debt collection agency called stone ink working for Macquarie bank Said it was a message for (unintelligible) + my surname
Asked me to ring them urgently, with a reference #.
Debt collectors? Luckily I don't owe anyone anything so it's obviously not for me :-)
my Uncel receive a call to his land number in the morning, and caller said can I talk with Nimesh (my boyfriends' name). Uncle said he not living in this address because he lives in somewhere else. Uncle asked them what is this regarding about and caller said "it is a private matter". when Uncle asked for his name he gave as a reference no, company name as stone ink and name as Andrew.
My boyfriend told me that he didn't gave my address to anyone and the best part is both of don't know our land line number and only uncle does.
we are not going to call them back because it's pretty sure this is a spam. If they call back definitely we'll inform the police.
Has rang a couple of times leaving messages asking for a person with same surname but wrong first name to call back.
The caller claims to be Stone Ink.
I am not going to waste my time and money calling back to tell them that they have the wrong number. I will report them to the ombudsman.
It's Stoneink. A debt collection agency. Anything from old mobile phone bills to unpaid cars. They buy the debt and then threaten you. Ignore them Just received a call from this number, a foreign lady keeps asking me 'Do you know Jodi Ann Marie[or similar], because he/she gave her my mobile number?' I said, no 'you called the wrong number' and this lady is so weird and ask me 'How long I had my mobile number?'. I said 'Over 10 years'. She hung up!
I think this call is a spam call, if required, I will report to the Police! Good Luck.
