Claiming to be from google. Does not appear on website

Caller: Message said

Was sent a google message with this phone to reply to, would expect google would have a legitimate phone number

TEXT message was purportedly from GOOGLE - asking me to verify that I wanted to change my password and connect a new device in THAILAND! This was today - Weds 26/11/25 at 16.50pm

This was certainly nothing that I had initiated, or even tried to access my Google account.

Caller: Allegedly a google setup

I got a msg saying some connection in Thailand needed 'confirmation' and said, " if not you, all this number" ??? and I was going to, then realised it could be part of the sca., ..ringing them back...U mean. I checked the number, and NO info

scam msg claiming to be from google

Caller: Said it was Google via SMS. It was their phone number as apparently I was signing in from a new device in Thailand. It alao came up with Google as contacting me. Not sure

Claimed to be a number to call if a Google code got device in Thailand was not me

Receiving Google verification codes from Japan on one occasion, and Thailand on another occasion - both saying to ring if it wasn't you.  Numbers to call are different - (02) 8789 4297 and 1800 159 558.   Called 02 number which went through user 332;  Called 1800 number and says the number you dialled has been cancelled.
