Totally scammed out of $500. Claim to be Amazon Prime and to process a cancellation so won't be charged monthly, had to download an app, which turned out they accessed my phone, and internet banking for cardless transaction that can't be refunded. Feel like an idiot. Don't fall for it

The number is from Liverpool in Sydney . Why can’t the service provider shut them down when it is known scam calling operation

Advised my NBN connection had been switched to public access and they needed to restart my account. They just needed me to confirm my IP address. I hung up and blocked the number.

Rang to say I have a transaction on my card account for $900 to New Zealand.
Me: Oh, really, could you please tell me what card it is on, Visa. Mastercard EFPOS card.
She: It's your card you do your banking with. You do do internet banking don't you?
Me: Oh yeah, but could you please tell me what card it is on, Visa. Mastercard EFPOS card
She: Oh shut up and then she hung up :-)

SCAM !! , Blocked.

Claimed overseas transaction on visa/Mastercard. Told him. Don’t have them changed tune ti debit eftpos card, then bank card & internet transaction. Scam

Caller: Supposedly Telstra

Scammers claiming to be Telstra. Lady with an Anglo name (though she clearly was not Anglo) claimed that someone else was using our internet and making it slower. Then asked to download ‘AnyDesk’ to make internet run faster and stop outsiders using our Internet. ‘AnyDesk’ is a platform allowing them to hack into computer/phone.

Got calls to my mobile phone this morning from this number and 66438935358 with identical recorded message say it was Amazon and today - - (I terminated calls). I am not a member of Amazon.

Called me repeatedly but nobody talked when I answered the calls.

Told me she was from Telstra about my internet. told her I don't have Telstra internet. I then hung up and she called right back telling me I do have Telstra internet which in fact I don't. Told her to f*ck off and get a real job instead of trying to rip people off and hung up.

Came as potential fraud. Thank you Optus for recognition of that. It came just following a scam call from a recording saying Amazon renewal was being deducted and I dont have an account with Amazon. So I think linked.Tried to call the Amazon number back and it was not connected. How is that possible?
