88 year old Mother contacted by phone supposedly by Dept of Human Services to arrange a meeting at her home to give her the sum of $2,480 being underpayment of her pension. Asked for personal information.

They have just called me and told me I had an ATO debt.

That the Sheriff was coming to my home and/or my place of work if I didn't call (02) 8607 5077 and make a (non-specified) payment immediately.

Am going to report this!!!

Theady didn't get a chance to tell me what it was about I had 20 calls from different numbers but the same company where every they are calling from

Phone message from CENTRE LINK ,with ref.number and act.phone number.Seemed legit.,Under paid amount mentioned $2480.Promised to call back.?SCAM.

Same story as above, I'm 70 years old, a woman rang said she was from Human Services and that my pension was at risk. Gave me this number to phone and when I was asked to identify myself I said 'How do I know this is Centrelink' and they quickly hung up.

Same sort of call left on our answering machine. Made it sound like a computer generated voice call. I was suspicious. Glad I looked here before calling the number.

Asian sounding lady left message on our phone saying she was from Centrelink and leaving number to call (02) 8607 5077. Centrelink said it is a scam, people trying to steal people's identities
