I have had 6 messages left on the home phone from this guy in the past few days stating the exact same thing, looking for someone called matthew Logan who the ATO has a case against. Just another scammer.

I have been getting this caller non stop lately leaving messages on my answering machine saying something like "government is taking you to courthouse re tax avoidance." Well aware it's a scammer.

Its just a spam!

Yep another one today .. they don't give up.
"I'm advising you the Tax Office has a legal case against you ...." I hung up.

Same! I don't know how they got our number?? Who do you report them to? Would the police bother to investigate?

Fake ATO debt.
Call him and waste some time so he can't scam others.
Have a fake phone number, and fat TFN ready to go.
Stump him by ensuring him he can't serve a subpoena over the phone.
Ask when I can expect my mail.

Message on answering machine. Ring back or I will be arrested for Tax Fraud. Amazing he leaves a name and phone number. Ignore him. Mind you my number is also Private.

Yep, just got a call from Matthew Logan.... (02) 8607 5071. Tax avoidance, I'm going to be taken to court, blah blah blah.

This number rang my mum and said there was a warrant out for her arrest, they left this message on her answer bank, then my sister called them and called them for everything, later that day they left another message for my mum saying they were taking her to court. She phoned Port Macquarie Police. I later rang them a few times, some foreigner saying he was Australian Taxation Office, I said don"t be stupid you wouldnt be open at this time.
Just don't answer any 02 8's or 9's always scammers.

Message received from a Matthew Logan saying we were being taken to court and there was a warrant out for our arrest, but before that happens if we ring this number they might be able to help. I have tried to ring but always engaged.
