The most annoyingest thing always calling me and just plain and the it just hang up. STOP!

I just got one of these as well. (02) 8570 3242. Two rings and stopped, no message on answerphone. I subscribe to "Do not call" in Oz, which has significantly minimised the amount of junk calls / telemarketers I used to get, but they still allow charities to call you. Obviously overseas telemarketers are exempt or unregulated, but as they have an Oz number then they should also be banned. I will report to "Do not call".

yep just got the call and as I answered it hung up this is on going every night...

Called recieved at 6.50pm Melbourne. Hung up. Tried calling back was hung up on.

Wow! A Rural Fir Sevice huh? This "Indian" fella was adamant I had a comp virus that needed his prompt attention! How the hell does this happen? Go figure! Still, I wasn't up for playing his comp virus games... Still a nuisance caller ringing me!

Someone rings me every two /threedays. I answer the phone and then there is nothing and after two or three seconds the phone hangs up.

Driving me crazy and am wondering who it is?

Just got a ph call from same number, but a male Indian (Asian type voice maybe?). He started asking questions about my computer & that he told me its currently switched on & that it had a virus that needed his attention. I knew he was full of it because my best friend of 20yrs (full on tech nerd) has my computer in his shop as he is giving it an upgrade in memory & has been with him for 2 weeks now. I told the "telemarketer" this & he says that it still tells him that its currently switched on & it has a virus. I asked him how he would even know if it's turned on & if this WAS the case could he please tell me this & if his supposed technology is that good then he should also be able to tell me who/where it is going by an Internet address/server it would be using. He couldn't answer this but kept saying its turned on & had been for the past few days. I know that these types of calls are major scams trying to illegally obtain your private information, so i was not about to le him win at this but make him suffer on the phone. I then asked him if he minded holding the line just for a brief moment as someone had just knocked on my front door & that I would get rid of them quickly to carry on with this conversation.
