I see that this scam is running again. I received one of their emails today (6 Nov 2012) asking for a high res copy of my drivers licence. For the record, here is the text of the email they are sending out:

Hello,
Durring our last database investigation we have noticed that we do not have a color copy of your driver licence.
To avoid any inconvenience please fax us a colour copy of your driver license.
Drivers License should be high resolution and colour.
Our fax number is : (02) 8569 1839
Sorry for the inconvenience caused, your insurance company.
