Paypal scam claiming hundreds of dollars were charged to my PayPal account and asking if the transaction was not authorised, to provide details to facilitate a refund.

I received an email saying that I had $437 charged to my Paypal account on 22nd April and could I ring the above number to verify this charge by a time-frame (that wasn't actually mentioned) and if it wasn't me they would provide me with a full refund. I have reported this to PayPal via their phishing address: phishing @ paypal.com.au

Someone with a Gmail account claiming to be from PayPal. Subject heading started with, ‘FWD:RE:’. Little content in the body of the email, but an attachment claiming 300+ was spent on bitcoin. The instructions are to call this number to arrange a refund.

This number is a PAYPAL scam!! Received an email saying hundreds of dollars was charged to the account but was not authorised. Do not phone this number, you get lead rabbit holes.
