Caller: I don’t know Texted me saying: “ANZ Alert: Your web access one-time passcode is 128127. If you did NOT request this, Please contact us on: (02) 8530 0463” I’m not even a customer of ANZ and Google said the text was highly likely to be a scam.

I got the same text, 31st December 2025 at 4.51pm. ANZ Alert: Your web access one-time passcode is 567826. If you did NOT request this, Please contact us on: (02) 8530 0463
I knew very well I had not requested access to online banking, and was immediately suspicious of the number. On checking, this is no known ANZ contact number.
