Had a call from (02) 8524 5977 yesterday and today from (02) 8524 5974. We didn't pick up and no message was left with both calls, very annoying. Not sure who it is but I do know that the Rural Fire Brigade who is only meant to call yearly for donations does call quite frequently and i'am sure would catch out a few good people who can't afford more than once a year, my husband was one until I picked up on it. We no longer donate to them.

Had a miss call from this number so googled it and saw these posts..So decided to call the number back to see what happens.. First I got 'your call could not be connected, please check the number or try again later...'. So then I redialed and then I got this brief very quickly spoken message 'you've reached our fund raising group call back later'. Then dead dial tone... Hmmmm what fund raiser that's actually trying to raise funds would have that as a message.. I then redialed again and got the 'your call could not be connect.....' again...Do not answer to this number.. Total scam. Espeacially when it's from the otherside of the country..

Rang a few times then disconnected before answering service cut in. Obvious auto dial service. To previous posters - RFS Association pay telemarketers to harass you and sell raffle tickets - as do most charities. It is cheaper for them to contract campaigns than employ their own people. Unfortunately if you complain to RFS it goes absolutely nowhere. Charities are exempt from the do not call register. Suggest you use an answering machine/service and screen all calls. I have my landline diverted to my mobile and as each new scammer/chugger/charity calls, I put it in my mobiles number blocker so it will never answer calls from that number. I have 19 of these numbers in my phone after 12 months. The reason I started doing this was a caller said "well when your house is on fire we may not respond" when I told him I wouldn't donate.

just got a call from (02) 8524 5945 - Australian telemarker for the Rural Fire Brigade

This caller is really annoying- they always hang up before the message picks up too. I think it's an Indian telemarketer "representing" Telstra. Avoid her like a plague

Rural Fire Service don't call you/harass you over the phone for money.  Nor do they phone you & try to sell raffle tickets to you over the phone.  DON'T BE FOOLED !

Ive had 2 missed calls from them, plus calls from (02) 8524 5921 and (02) 8524 5945
