Had a call from (02) 8524 5977 yesterday and today from (02) 8524 5974. We didn't pick up and no message was left with both calls, very annoying. Not sure who it is but I do know that the Rural Fire Brigade who is only meant to call yearly for donations does call quite frequently and i'am sure would catch out a few good people who can't afford more than once a year, my husband was one until I picked up on it. We no longer donate to them.

They do call selling tickets in their raffles as I get emails off them now after receiving one of their calls. If it's the rural fire brigade its legit but if your worried about buying over the phone they are more than happy to email or post out the information to you. :-)

Had a miss call from this number so googled it and saw these posts..So decided to call the number back to see what happens.. First I got 'your call could not be connected, please check the number or try again later...'. So then I redialed and then I got this brief very quickly spoken message 'you've reached our fund raising group call back later'. Then dead dial tone... Hmmmm what fund raiser that's actually trying to raise funds would have that as a message.. I then redialed again and got the 'your call could not be connect.....' again...Do not answer to this number.. Total scam. Espeacially when it's from the otherside of the country..

This caller is really annoying- they always hang up before the message picks up too. I think it's an Indian telemarketer "representing" Telstra. Avoid her like a plague

just got a few missed calls from this number. i havnt answered but it only rings like 3 times and then stops. thought i would look it up to see who it was and was lead here. good to know. wont be answering now haha

Rural Fire Service don't call you/harass you over the phone for money.  Nor do they phone you & try to sell raffle tickets to you over the phone.  DON'T BE FOOLED !
