The right time just now for scammers to pretend to be from the Rural Fire Service!

I no longer answer the phone unless I know the number. I let it go to the answering machine and if they don't leave a message its bad luck for them.
The above number being a case in point. Just some advice for all other people receiving nuisance calls.

We are on "Do not Call", but get persistent People calling 3 or 4 times a day. I don't pick the phone up any longer, and that is bad, to have to pay for a service, which you can't use any longer.

I blocked this number as it is from the rural Fire service. To be fair I did donate to them on previous years. However it seems that they share your number with other charities. I am no longer in a position to donate. I would probably get about one call a month from various emergency service provider charities.

(02) 8524 5959 rings, when answered they wait for you to say hello and then terminate the call.

Don't know who someone mumbles and the hangs up

Sick of all these charities cold calling. I donate to the charity of my choice on a regular basis. These people are annoying and it has become a real business for them

When I call back it says "Our fundraising team has recently tried your number. We will try again soon." and hangs up. Doesn't even say whose fundraising team it is.

Seems to be rural fire service selling tickets

Caller rings repeatedly and hangs up before the phone switches to the answering machine.

Does someone know who calls from this number.
