As per the goverment website, the NSW Rural Fire Service DOES NOT seek donations over the telephone. Bar the calls from 02 8524 59xx.

This number called me today. He said he was calling for donations on behalf of the volunteer fire brigade

They call and don't leave a message - I am on the "don't call register" and have been for a long time. Am blocking now

This number has started calling me again after a hiatus of about 5+ years, they don't even bother to leave a message. Not wasting my time calling back.

The 5900 number calls me on my mobile. I guess they must have plenty of money to be able to call mobile numbers. I didn't answer the call and they didn't leave a message on message bank.

Also calling from 5990 ring back and its a disconnected number. I am on the do not call database but it doesnt cover charities.

I have two phones in my house with different numbers, I don't answer one the other rings not long after - to do this they would be going through the white pages of the directory. I also have caller ID on both of my phones.
Fundraising agencies should have more training in customer service, then maybe they might get somewhere, but not by harassing people.

I have exactly the same issue. Ring the number back and says it's disconnected please check number before dialling again.

The number is (02) 8524 5930.

I travel a lot, and hate when this number calls in the middle of the night. Seems to be numbers in the 0828524900  thru to  999  as I have a collection of numbers all with different last 2 digits.I never answer these numbers now.

Got a call from a similar number at 5.55pm - (02) 8524 5907 and got fundraising msg when I called back to see who it was.
No message was left on my phone.
Have also recently received calls from (02) 8524 5994 and they said they were calling about fundraising but would give no further details.
