AGL accounts. Threatened legal action for being late paying my bill! It was paid. I said i have the receipt that AGL sent me so gave her the online receipt number. She was still rude after that and threatened legal action even though my receipt says it may take two days to clear. Nice one A-holes. Changing from AGL ASAP!

I called back the number (02) 8503 4691 and reached vm that said I reached

Kept calling left no message and said it was agl but i am not with agl. Found it very strange- believe it is some sort of scam

Its either a marketting call from AGL or a scam. I wouldnt give my details to them to check. Called the official AGL number back and they said this number is unknown to them, so it's most likely a scam.....

Accounts Dept. I don't know how they do it, but they manage to break through a permanent do not disturb I have on my phone. No-one else can get through, but they can.

Got a recording saying it was AGL and followed up with 'This is not a telemarketing call please select.....'

Seems legit!!! No way am I pressing any button to continue, they'll probably tell me they have the cure for COVID-19 for $199.00 in three small payments :)

This number called 4 times in one day. Just late 2 days in not paying bill on time. No other Electricity Company harass you for owing $120. I am a Disability Pensioner and I'm not going anywhere. Terrible Customer Service.

Received a call but I don’t answer numbers not saved in my phone. I wait for a voicemail or text message before I attempt to call the number back. No message was left or text sent. Searched for the number on the AGL website and nothing came up. From this and other websites it would appear to be a spam call.

Had 4 calls in one day from (02) 8503 4691. They never leave a Voicemail. Only owe $50. I'm on a Pension. It is the only Electricity Provider that harasses it's Customers like this. I'm not going to run away with the Electricity owing on my back. It's simple, they can just add the balance owing to the next bill. They'll get their money.

So I never answer unknown numbers, but judging by the comments it’s AGL chasing a late payment. Now why do I say from these comments? Because even though my phone’s voicemail message tells whoever rings me that I do NOT answer unknown calls and for them to leave a message of who they are and what they want and that I’ll get back to them, whoever called me (4 times in one day!) didn’t leave a message. I never received an email. Never received a notification on the app. Anyway - I get paid fortnightly so a late payment happens on the odd occasion, and this bill has basically doubled since last (almost $1000) so I put it on a payment plan. Part of the set up process they ask “do you want to make a partial payment of $100 now to reduce your instalment costs?” So I said yes thinking they would debit that amount out; bow bow, I was wrong, so they put that voluntary upright payment as AN OVERDUE FEE ON THE PAYMENT PLAN when the actual first instalment wasn’t due to come out until today. I didn’t realise this until yesterday so I put a payment through (stupidly to my gas account without realising) and then I get a notification today they CANCELLED MY PAYMENT PLAN. So that was todays headf*** to deal with. Changing companies ASAP; never dealt with this when I was with Alinta. Absolutely ridiculous.

This call annoyed me. I'll try to explain.
If I have a bill that is $100.00 a month, I will pay $55.00 a fortnight so it puts me a little in front each month. Doing this is great in the long run but sometimes it goes after the due date by a little bit but ultimately it is always paid, in credit or in front.
I forgot one fortnight with AGL.
Not 3 days after it was due, and $250.00 of $336.00 had already been paid, they called. They were pushy and not understanding. I explained that I will be doing another $150.00 in 4 days (which would clear the due amount and have me in credit). She tried to force me onto a $150.00 A WEEK direct debit payment plan, and even recited my account number.
I went off as said that I owe $86.00, not $150.00 and I am not entering any payment plan because if I didn't forget to make my last payment, I would be in credit by $64.00 and then by $214.00 in 4 days.
She said "well why can't you make full payment now with a Visa or Mastercard?" Then she said, "Can I just take full payment from your account ending in 1**8?"

HOW ABOUT CHASING PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T PAID ANYTHING.....FOR MONTHS!!!!!

AGL; they keep calling and harassing me because my bpay was late for my payment arrangement. Bunch of c*nts.

Rang 2 times yesterday and left no message. My mobile location said that they are in Engadine.

This is a major scam!! I don't have, and never have had any accounts with AGL so how could I owe any amount on an account that doesn't exist. Wise up AGL, and put a stop to your company name being used to defraud unsuspecting people.
