A pre-recorded or automated message. Claimed to have information re registering for a pension increase form. The contact number was (02) 8488 1031. They offered a call back service or the return number.

This brainless P.O.S. harassed the priv., D/N/C no. even answered he was from Centrelink and aid everything was fine with them.
Definite con man, waste of time!!

Phone message (02) 8488 1031 is shonky or scam, best not call this number. Where are the police or other law enforcement body's to bring these people to justice.

Got a call from supposedly from Centrelink, sounded suspicious, took down the number they listed and decided to check. It was a very odd way for centrelink to contact and they never do for rises. Just as well. Watch out

my mother received a call from this same number. They said they were from Centrelink calling about her pension (which she doesnt have). Seemed dodgy to me so I followed it up and found this website and similar comments . SCAM

Supposedly Centrelink, telling my poor dad that he is owed money in back payments. To 'register' for his payment he has to go get $100 in itunes cards and go to his nearest centrelink tomorrow at 2pm, even gave a name of person to see, along with reference numbers. I walked in as Dad was reading the numbers of the cards over the phone, grabbed them off him and claimed all of them! lol ha scammers! they rang back to say the cards are not working...awwwww how sad. Bastards

My mum got a call from this number and they claimed that they are from Centrelink (02) 8488 1031). They told her to meet them at a certain location and to give Sylvia Johnson a $100 itunes card. I called this number back and had a go at the bloke that answered and all he had to say was "ok ok" and hung up on me. Low life scum bag.

Thank you for the warning. I rang the Symbio phone number given above and the chap refused to take my complaint. I should go to the police, he said, because the police had a channel of communication with Symbio. Lovely!

received a call from justice department on 028488103.Hung up as voice sounded dodgy. Have been receiving a number of scam calls lately.Do not answer unless aware of number,allow to go to answering machine,if real will leave a message and if important will ring back.

have just been connected to NBN and the old phone and answer service doesnt operate had to buy a new phone and the answer service is the old Telstra 101 .
i went in and found this site and suspected it was just another scam call.
dont answer if it shows up on your scree (02) 8488 1031
i go in and delete the call and the voice mail msgs
I now let all calls go to answer service and check them back after.
My recording starts "this is do not call number" but still they rinsg!!!

A scam! or what I'd like to call 'Scum!'
