As above, some scammer with Indian accent claiming to be from ato, saying they have warrants out for my arrest due to tax evasion. Load of sh*te.

This is a scam, no-one from the ATO threatens legal action on the phone!

I received a call from this number as well

James Appleton with an Indian accent (name doesn't sound too Indian to me LOL) rang & left a message saying he was from the ATO & do not ignore the call.

Little prick James Appleton from the ATO ……(LOL) for my apparent tax evasion and will proceed to warrants…what a tosser…..total scam !!!!

Yes, I received the call from "James Appleton", and it was very upsetting. I hope that this person realises that he could be putting peoples life in danger, he should be found and put in jail. If I had been elderly and had a heart attack then he would have to deal with that.

Man claimed his name was John Appleton from ATO (08) 9274 8638) and i needed to call (02) 8417 2795 or i would be arrested by the commonwealth for tax fraud... OK!
