UNSW is calling up postgraduate students and alumni to ask about their experience and opinions on their life post uni.

I called back number (02) 8379 0133 reached voice mail but did not say for what company.

It's from UNSW asking for donations

picked up call. pretty sure it was a call centre. sounded like busy office. person making call was distracted so i hung up

Someone from UNSW. Heavily accented and difficult to understand. Very noisy in the background. They were ringing from the UNSW Impact Appeal asking for donations.

Caller: Someone called Hillary from UNSW

Asked me about student life. Asked me to help her get a job. Very weird

It must be scam. They won’t leave details of their email to contact

Call at unusual hours, obviously have the wrong details for their scam.

Tried to call them back and it hangs up instantly, has to be spam, not UNSW.

Yes - this activity was publicised in a recent Alumni Newsletter and you had to "opt in" to be included - I opted in and received a phone message this afternoon while I was out.
