Caller: A male (indian accent) who said his name is Michael (SCAM CALL) Caller said he was from Telstra & he was calling about my internet. He alleged that they had detected illegal activity (hacking) over the last couple of days. He neither asked for me by name when I answered the phone nor addressed me by name during the conversation. He asked me if all the lights on my modem were on. When I said they were he then asked me to go to my computer, turn it on & he would show me about the hacking. I told him that it would be difficult as my computer is at the repair shop & has been for a week. He then asked if I had another computer & I said that I did not. He then asked if I had a smart phone. I said that if I had a smart phone why would he be phoning me on a landline & why would I have a computer. After I said this an automated voice said that I was being terminated from this teleconference.

Caller: Some Indian Chick Told me she was from Telstra, When I questioned her IP Location she insisted she was calling from Paddington NSW. She is definitely located in India and not in Paddington. Where she really screwed up was telling me that "IF I KNEW SO MUCH , Then why did you answer the F*cking phone" So Scam attitude was revealed.

It was almost 9pm AEST on Tuesday 1st November 2022 when elderly father's flip phone rang. Every month we get a call from either unknown or a different NSW or Canberra number. He has voicemail. It's not a smart phone, they don't leave any voicemail messages. We avoid answering as his mobile is with Dodo (using the Optus network) and mailing for inbound and for text message of passwords.

Something to do with replacing your hotwater system from an inside one to an outside - cost $400 + $2199. Rebate from Victorian government. Not a legit caller - beware!
