Rang my landline at 10.40 am in WA but when i picked up phone i did not speak and no noise could be heard from the caller. I have blocked number and also put the answering machine on as i will expected other nuisance calls throughout the day. This week has been a bad week for these type of calls.

Caller: Scammer pretending to be Telstra

"I am calling about your Telstra Internet connection. Are you the owner?".
I asked which one, and she hung up!

Like many people now I never answer calls from unknown numbers. (Please do not answer calls from these lowlifes.) But I picked up the phone when this number called and listened: they didn't even bother to speak before disconnecting. I don't know whether this works with the technology they use these days, but I then kept the line open for the next couple of hours while I had a sleep. Once upon a time that would have disabled one of their phone lines. At the very least it ensured that for a while they wouldn't call me back on this number, which I have now blocked.

Visa and Mastercard scam

Said she was from 'E L Travel' and asked who she was speaking to. I didn't give my name but asked why she was calling. No response. Asked again and she hung up. Suspect it's one of those 'you have won a discounted holiday' scams.

A lot of background noise of alot of people. Said he was from Telstra and it was about my Telstra account. Person was Asian with an English name and i just told them i don't deal with Telstra and hung up. I have spoken to a Telstra person in the flesh at our local store and he told me they don't ring up to talk about your internet connections at anytime.

So many scam spam calls from this number. EVERY DAMN DAY, four or five times a day. Pretending to be Visa and Mastercard fraud department and wanting to give me a refund - after I give them my bank details. LOL.

Caller: SCAMMER

SAID HE WAS FROM TELSTRA, WANTED TO ACCESS MY COMPUTER, I GOOGLED NUMBER & ASKED WHY IT SAYS THIS NUMBER IS SELLING SOLAR, HE TOLD ME I WAS BULLsh*tTING HIM! I TOLD HIM TO LOOK IT UP, AND HE TOLD ME TO F$#K OFF (SEVERAL TIMES). I TOLD HIM HIS PARENTS MUST BE SO PROUD OF HIM....HE HUNG UP!

Max said he was "calling regarding a problem with your telstra internet, do you know about this problem?"

Said he was from Visa Security, when asked who he was he hung up

Scammers. Spoof call.

Caller: Scum scammers

Claimed to be from Telstra internet. Scum fishing for gullible people.

Claimed to be GO Travel but no outlet in the area of phone number .. so must be scammers which was confirmed by checking number on another reliable number trace site.

Caller: Mark

Asked If I remember filling out a form for a holiday at a shopping centre or somewhere like that. My answer was no, and hung up.

Didn't hang on long enough to leave a message. Postings above confirm pest status.
