This morning I have received two phone calls from (02) 8351 5972. Each time the bugger remains silence a few seconds and then he/she/it hangs up. I called back to find out who the hell was behind the prank and the line was busy. Is there any way to bar this good for nothing. waste of space and time idiot?

yup just got the same call car accident last 3 years i just laughed and said really phone went dead some times people call home phons with a msg like that to see if any one home as you can look up a number and it will tell you the address

The phone rang, when answering it, hung up shortly after without anyone speaking.

Yep he just called twice first time he said nothing and hung up..second time he said someone from my number had been in a car accident in the last 3 years... I said NO and he hung up.

Also Im on do not call

I had a call from an overseas number. Answered then they hung up. 15 min later this number rang and I answered I could barely understand his accent and he asked has someone from this number has been involved in a car accident within the last 3 yrs. I never asnwered his question and told him I am on the DO NOT CALL REGISTER AND A PRIVATE NUMBER so don't call again.

I have had two calls in the last week from this number on my mobile. Accident insurance scam of some sort. Indian accent, clearly from overseas "spoofed" to come from an Australian number. If you try to call it back (prefix with 1831 so my caller id does not come up), the recording says the number is disconnected

As here ia caller ID why not police or ACMA take some action?

Yes I too received a call from an Indian sounding man, as soon as I heard the words 'Someone you know has been in an accident' I hung up. Silent number & on the do not call register, Telstra needs to stop these scammers.

Just got a call at home from this number
No one replied when we said hello just could hear mumbling in the background then after 3 mins they hung up.

I've had a few calls from this number. Each time someone with an Indian accent asks me if I or anyone at this number has had a "minor car accident" in the last two years. It's so obviously a scam phone call that I usually just say "Nobody at this number has EVER had a car accident, you're a scammer, please do not call me again". Then if he's still on the line I just hang up ... but most often as soon as I get to the word "scammer" he hangs up :)

Got a call from them today. Some Indian guy. How come Telstra don't shut these numbers down.

As I wasn't hands free on the mob I pulled up on the side of the road to take the call. Answered the ph and then they just hung up. What a waste of time. Some people are simply oxygen thieves I tell you.

A messed up young male person with effeminate voice phoned being of a scam nature for which I immediately hung up. These people are behaving as idiots, are ruining their lives trying to scam another person, no doubt even their own mother / family members / etc out of any money might get their hands on. What they DON'T REALIZE is that they each most assuredly are going to reap horrible things upon themselves for the corrupt seeds are sowing, awful things doing to others. God's Word says this, and God's Word does not lie nor return void. Whether they believe in God or not, still doesn't change the TRUE FACT. Life moves quickly, everyone's life is precious, so DON'T WASTE YOUR LIFE DOING WRONG THINGS, YOU MATTER & YOUR LIFE CAN MATTER. STOP HATING YOURSELF, YOU MATTER TO GOD & CAN MATTER TO OTHERS TOO.
