same as above - Mentor Arena. Financial advice is not this cheap in Australia, if people are properly educated, experienced, licensed and insured. PLEASE REPORT THIS SCAM TO ACCC scamwatch.gov.au so they can stop future people being scammed.

Same as above. Called from (02) 8515 9199. I asked lots of questions of Alex who put me on to his manager Brian. Both with Israeli accents but calling from London. I got Brian off topic several times, onto covid, lock downs, vaccines, computer repairs and the difference between XP and windows 7. I said I had no Internet access so could not sign up, and when pressed, invented a son who I need to talk to before committing myself. Lots of related topics, kept it pleasant and him on the line for an hour. An amusing time and he will call back tomorrow. Definitely a scam as I have not signed up for nor made inquiries about online trading.

Told me as a Pensioner that I would double my money over night - I therefore sent her the money that she requested she said that she would be in touch with me the next day to tutor me but I now cannot contact her and she has never called me back

Caller: Mentors Arena: Nancy

Nancy have a Chinese Accent with a terrible attitude. She yelled at me, and spoke over me. When I complained about her attitude, she said it was just the way she talks. So rude.

Anyway, I knew it's a scam from the start; they must have got my phone number and email address (spam email address; I would never use this email address for any educational purposes) back when I was younger, some site I signed up must have sold my data. That being said, I tried to waste their time for as long as I could, but only managed around 40 minutes.

Now when I told her I saw *this* website saying it's a scam call, I told her. Then she said, all big companies have scammers making scam calls. Anyway, she got really mad at the end when I said she's a scammer and I asked her how much money she has made from scamming people, she yelled over my voice repetitively, "I don't think you're fully committed", then hanged up the phone.

Please note, the website they wanted me to go on was www.mentorsarena.com
I never clicked on this website and I don't think anyone else should too.

Had a call from NSW from “ Mentors Arena”. Advised I had allegedly signed up to gain finical insight. Advised I hadn’t signed up for anything. They somehow knew my email address as well.
Advised I hadn’t signed up for anything and wanted my information deleted from their system as they have obtained it illegally. The lady on the phone told me to look up their website, thankfully found this page first.
Scammers.

Same situation as previous callers, told I'd given my information to learn more about stocks and trading (which I didn't immediately think as suspicious because I had been extensively researching). Then kept trying to commit me to paying 100USD for a mentor and refused to listen when I told them my work was paying for me to learn the same material. Very pushy and would not take no for an answer, I told them when googling, their website didn't come up but this website of complaints for their scams did and that finally shut them up :)

Caller: "Active Care Mentors Arena" Apparently

I'd received numerous calls from various numbers in New South Wales, despite the fact that I live in South Australia. I always ignored them, but one time I answered and some lady told me that apparently they were going to provide me a mentor because I was interested in the financial market. I asked where she got my name and phone number from and she told me that it "was on their website". I wasn't too suspicious, because as a matter of fact, I had been extensively researching the stock market in the past week, but I knew this was going to be a scam when they claimed that they had a special voucher for me so I could get a discount on their course for 50 USD. Firstly, why the hell would an Australian company, supposedly calling from New South Wales, ask for a payment in USD?? I don't know how to block these guys because they have multiple different numbers, but just know that they are SCAMMERS.

Just got the same call but from an "Unknown Caller". Said the same thing about me signing up to know more about investing which is odd. I did put my email into Motley Fool but I didn't think my number. I'm on the 'do not call' list for Australia too.

They said it was $700 for the professional course but today only it's $100 and you get a mentor yadda yadda. She hung on the line on mute for 20 mins just talking it was weird I was working and I told her that. Super Philippino accent and just wouldn't let me go
