Caller: Medibank Care Programme This isn’t a spam or marketing call. I was dubious at first. But there is a genuine Care Program they are running. Yes, I’m sure to make you healthier, so you claim less. But, to make you healthier.
They called me apparently based on my claim history, which is true, because I had been hospitalised for a substantial period of time after a operation on a dangerous discovery. All legit. And their program aims at integrating their out of hospital services with my long term care.
So not spam, not marketing. Genuinely trying to enrol you in something good for you.
I don’t believe in fairies, I’m sure the new program will help them reduce on hospital claims. But there is also benefit to you for the Program.

Lady left a message, but I couldn't understand what she said (she had an accent), but said to call back on 1300 778 684 or 718684 or maybe it was 728684, between 9-6. As I said couldn't understand her so not sure if it was 778, 729 or 718 in the middle numbers. When I check the missed calls list on my phone, number is (02) 8321 3330, which is a Sydney number. Don't think I'll return the call, just have this funny feeling that it could be a scam.

Call from this number, person said his name was Darcy, claiming to be from Medibank, wanted my wife to call back on 1300 729 684 about some health plan. Medibank know nothing about such a call. Sounds like a scam to me

Caller: Lisa from Care First Probably genuine but asking for me to identify myself with full name, address and date of birth, citing "privacy concerns" is very suspicious. They already have this information and should be quoting it back to me! Very similar to another call which definitely was scam. They need to address their procedures if they don't want to be considered as scammers preying on the elderly.

Called saying they are affiliated with Medibank, wanting permission to have personal information from my GP to 'offer help and advice ' with my health. DO NOT GIVE PERMISSION for anyone to access your personal information. Especially from Medibank who have already have a massive breach of customers personal info. Keep yourselves safe people.

Had a call from silent number from an Indian/Pakistani who left a message to call back on 1300 729 684, some kind a followup to a letter sent to me? Don't recall receiving said letter. Called the number and the lady who answered wanted to know all my details for 'privacy reasons'. I gave my name but then pulled her up and told her I thought it was a scam. She said she would have the letter sent to me again, but asked for no further details? All very odd.
