A legitimate phone call from UPS. I was wary at first as I didn't recognise the number, but a quick search online confirmed it was ok - it was regarding an invoice I received from them recently.

Answered a call but no one there, didn't call back or receive any further calls or messages

This is legit, call center is overseas, was expecting a package, importing goods into Aus over 1k = tax and duties are required

Legitimate, UPS called to collect import duty on an overseas package i was expecting. I got them to email me the invoice whilst on the phone to them Obviously if you are not expecting an overseas delivery then don't pay, it is an overseas call centre they might get the wrong number occasionally i imagine.

Seems to legitimately be UPS. I ordered some stuff from the UK, probably about $1200 worth. Calling to collect duty. They had enough information about the goods being delivered, my name and delivery address, to make it look legit to me.

Scammer - claiming that i purchased a "costume" from the states. Asked to confirm my credit card number for verification for UPS... i havent purchased anything online.

Legit - UPS calling about customs duties payable on a parcel I'm expecting. All good.

UPS calling to collect GST/import fees because you have bought something from overseas that exceeds the threshold.

UPS Collecting custom duty and gst from stuff I bought from USA

Its UPS, my company in US sent some IT gear and of course they didnt tell me....

It is UPS, it is legitimate. I bought a ring from the US and they need to collect the import tax (which I believe the supplier should be paying). They are happy to email the invoice through.

24/04/2017, They sent a letter to our residential address asking for a phone number to update their records because of a request from one of their clients! they claim to be Yates Professional Investigations from Grange in Queensland. Private Enquiry & Commercial Agents! And I am the tooth fairy! This letter came after an email to my partner. She responded, but they haven't replied to the email. We actually haven't had a call because because they don't have our numbers, yet!! But I don't know how they got our Residential Address, or hide behind "one of our clients" seeking a phone number! I've checked on White Pages and there is a name, Owen, but the same address with 2 different sets of initials at Grange Queensland. So like Russia, they remain an enigma, wrapped up in a mystery surrounded by, I forget the rest!
