Caller: Guy Saïd from Vodien

Not sure if this really is Vodien as the guy was pushy and wanted to set me up for auto renewal of my domain name. He had an American accent.
I said I wasn’t interested in auto-renewal and receive the notifications of time to renew and would take care of this myself in good time.
Then he said he’d email me a link to renew. I said straight away ‘you are not kosher’ and hung up.
This is not how Vodien works (I have other accounts) as they never call you. So am pretty sure this is from a scammer.

I had the same call and thought it was very strange. I called Vodien (via their 1300 number on their website) and they confirmed that it was a legitimate call.
Crazy! Why chase payment when its not due!

Its Vodien. They have taken over much of the Australian hosting market and have introduced a bit of bait and switch with the companies they took over, and some agressive sales techniques

It’s an annual renewal from Vodien 3 months before it’s due. They ring repeatedly trying to get you to renewal early renew for 2 years ….you say no and 2 days later they ring again and again

This is Vodien - a legitimate call, albeit annoying! They call me even when my products are auto-renewing, it's a waste of time.

I called back the number (02) 8279 6151 and a guy from Vodien Internet Solutions picked up
