HAD CALLS FROM AN INDIAN SOLAR PANEL CALLER BEFORE AND TOLD THEM TO EFF OFF.
DO NOT BLAME THE TELECOMMUNICATION PROVIDERS AS THEY ARE NOT RUNNING THE DO NOT CALL WEBSITE. IT IS A FEDERAL GOVT WEBSITE.
WE HAVE A GUARDIAN PHONE. I GUARENTEE YOU ALL IT BLOCKS ANY NUMBER THAT IS NOT ENTERED INTO YOUR PHONE AS AN ACCEPTED CALLER. THE PHONE WILL NOT LET CALLS THRU UNLESS THE NUMBER IS ENTERED INTO YOUR PHONE'S NUMBER BOOK.
I RECOGNISED THIS NUMBER FROM BEFORE. I THINK ITS AN OPTUS NUMBER THAT CALLS VIA SKYPE.
EASIEST ANSWER IS JUST TO HANG UP AND NOT ENTER ANY CONVERSATION WITH THEM

Totally agree! If numbers can be blocked on mobiles why can't they figure out how to block land lines?

Male with Indian accent - numerous calls, at end of my tether; home recovering from surgery, in pain and having poor sleep, taken opiate based analgesia and was in deep sleep for the first time in 10 days. My landline number registered on the Do Not Call register, does not deter the call centres, only one of many calls received per day. Am considering getting my phone disconnected, I've tried to get Telstra to block the number, their response is they can't unless the call is abusive or threatening. Have kept a log of these calls. Help!

Spoof caller. Number shown in caller ID is not connected. Scam caller.

Another call from this number (now blocked and phone doesn't answer/respond) - number left in calling log. Optus advised number is connected if calling back (using mobile that doesn't broadcast number). Agreed, DNC is a waste of time!!!!

I get so sick and tired of these people who have overseas accents...ask for people who dont exist and not only once but twice within minutes. The dont call register is only for honest people who check if they can call or not....useless for these other idiots

Caller: Indian solar scam

I have found a way to get all the scam callers, who have accents from the sub-continent, to hang up almost immediately. I tell them that they are speaking to Yama, Lord of Naraka, and that I have placed a curse on them and their family. They sh*t themselves and hang up....oh, and Yama is one of the primary Gods' of death, within eastern and some asin religions.

They ask for some stupid name and then if i am the home owner. If you say renting they just hang up. All indians calling and its been the 5th call. Trying to block them.

I answer they say nothing they rang 4 times
