they left a message calling me a bitch as I didnt pick up the phone. I have now sent this company a complaint email

This number has been calling me twice a day for over a week without leaving a message. When I called them back they did not identify themselves. As my phone number is a silent number and on the donotreply register I assumed that it must be a charity as you cannot block their calls.

(02) 8261 1847 has called repeatedly in recent weeks at different times. it's obviously a callcentre. but would like to know which one.

How do these people even have my number? I am on a protected persons list!

Hi Cathy, My number is non-listed number too. I recieve calls from this number about 3 times a month. I never answer numbers I don't recognise, so I don't know who or what the company is. They usually retrieve individuals' details through unscrupulous retail stores or companies on the net, door to door salespeople for energy companies,etc.. who enter your details on consumer lists. So if you made a purchase or filled out any forms over the last 6 months or year, you may have unknowingly given permission to the store, internet company, bank,...yes..bank and even solicitors!, to give this information out. However, some organisations collect these details automatically without your knowledge in a myriad of ways. You can stop them by putting a"block" on the number, unfortunatly I can't recall the process right now but I'm sure you could look it up.

I've been getting about 10 calls a week from this number. I am pretty sure they have got my number from a competition that i entered to win a trip to Bali..

Based on my experience, 2evolve is a services company for groups like Amnesty International.  They are not malicious, but very irritating!
