The first call from this number claimed to be a lady from Optus. I mentioned it was not a convenient time and hung up. Since then, I have had about 20 calls over the last week and a half. No voice message is ever left and if I answer it there is just silence.

they are calling me 8 times a day (02) 8216 4900. i want to call the police.. its freaking me out. when you answer then its 28 secs of eerie silence..

whoever this lot are, they are downright gutless and need to be dealt with...obviously noton the up and up

Can't call back either. Don't waiste your credit calling back. They will call again if they want you.

Same as everyone else. It says the phone is switched off, meaning it must divert to a mobile phone.

ive missed the call from them 6 or 7 times now... and i cant reply it, and i answered it once and it just hung up after 5 secs of silence

my call was very similar, claimed to be from optus, said something about a new prepaid plan availiable only to optus customers, wanted to verify my name and number which i agreed to, but i got suss when asked for my DOB, so i asked if i can just check on the website and change the plan by myself.
he said yes  and i hung up on him. but there was no new prepaid plan on the optus website IT WAS A LIE! oh and the call took a few seconds to connect, i was repeating 'hello?' a few times before they started talking , with an indian/paki accent. ( aren't they always? )

yeah me too ...keep getting from this number, did try to call this number back but it says the number is switched off, weird...

ive keep getting hounded by this number and im getting sick of it.

My husband and I have also received them and there's no answer on the other end.  We found out though that there's a new rule where telemarketers can now call you on your mobile and you'll get charged for it, so we don't answer calls from numbers we don't know anymore.
