Caller: Claimed to be Energy Australia I am with Energy Australia and have had message bank calls from them before but it is a real person who leaves their name, gives a refer number and asks for a call back on the 1800 number. The message on my answering machine last night was a robotic voice which new my name in a poor insert but did not leave a reference number and asked me to call back "urgently". I smell a rat. I'm not going to call an (02) number that is not on Energy Australia's website of contacts. Why would Energy Australia bulk voice message people for an urgent call back? Obviously a scam and not a very convincing one either.

I rang Energy Australia on their 13 number after I received a call from this number. They said that the number is not them and it is a scam trying to get you to pay an amount via credit card.

Caller: Vodafone I reported this phone number with Vodafone as I haven’t been a customer with them for some time. They had advised this is a Vodafone number associated with partners who apparently reach out and so I should never have received the call.

Caller: SCAM They rang and hung up instantly. I called the number back and went to an auto message saying it was Vodafone. I’m not even with Vodafone so definitely a scam.

Caller: Allegedly Energy Australia It's an automated message asking you to enter your account details. After entering a fake number (#1234567890) as I don't have an account with them, it said I had an overdue amount of $100 exactly. Clearly a scam, do not enter your CC details.

100% a scam rang 3 times today no message left until the scammers rang at 6.55pm tonight and a automatic voice that knew my name stated I was to ring back as it was Urgent. Energy Australia are aware of this scam .DO NOT answer the calls they are cold calling until you answer and want your Credit Card details

Caller: Allegedly Energy Australia SCAMMER CALL. (02) 8213 6770 was the number left by the male voice. Urgent call for me to contact them. Like I am going to fall for that old trap. First of all ANY of the utility companies will normally send you a letter. Plus NONE of the utility companies I have ever been with have a normal phone number, it is always 13 something or other. Always. I feel sorry for the people who fall for these idiotic scammers.
