returned the missed call from this number in my phone, and the message said "please check your number as this is an in valid number "

Caller: Credit Corp Male Caller from private number, I answered phone call, foreign language, like broken English, asking for private details. I refused to provide any details, asked for his number and business name so I could return call. He said he was calling from Credit Corp. gave me return number (02) 8199 2889. He didnt want me to do that, he wanted to continue speaking with me. I replied I don't provide private details to anyone who calls me from private number who I dont know.
I have no previous current or any type of debit, so no reason for Credit Corp to be calling me.
However I called 02 8199 2889 from a private line, the call was answered by same male voice, no mention of credit corp. I simply hung up without speaking.
02 8199 2889 is not blocked on our phones.
