Caller: Said they were from “Department of Australian tax office”

Robotic voice left message saying that my TFN has been in ‘suspended’ because it had been “in contact with fraudulent behaviour”
Came from Gurley NSW.
Obviously a scam!!

Caller: its Credit Corp

Yes this is Credit Corp, they will not release the name of who they are until you confirm your personal details with them. They cite that they are following the Privacy Act re releasing information on behalf of their client yet they refuse to tell you who they are.

Warning this is a despicable and disgusting company and in my instance acting on a phone account long forgotten over 4 years ago that was supposed to have finalised the account when I transferred my services to another provider. Threats of garnishee, intimidation tactics over a debt under $1000 well below - this really is the bottom of the barrel and to add insult to the embarrassment of the call is that not one person I spoke to had a clear and unaccented speech pattern. Suggest these may be routed calls out of the Philippines but its definitely Credit Corp

I called back the number (02) 8199 2047 and the guy on the other line did not mention the company name

Keep receiving phone calls from a Jeramiah, when I ask what the call is in regards to he won't tell me. Says a personal business matter.

JP is from City Corp trying to collect very old defunct debt.

I had a very strange call from (02) 8199 2047, very strange computer altered voice, asking for my friends details. Saying they got my details from a public database, but wanted to pass on some redirected mail.
