CALLED me yesterday and again today

Caller: Nuisance caller

Called me twice in two days and left a voicemail with no information. This leads me to believe that it is a nuisance caller.

Got a missed call from a different number (02) 8094 4420)When I called it back it says they are fromAVON DIRECT MARKETING.I'm also a commonwealth bank customer n received a letter offering insurance a few weeks ago.

I have recieved a minimum of 3 calls a day for the past few months from this number. Same thing. No messages, and when I call back it says it is AVON, but when I have accidently answered it is nothing. A few months ago the same thing happened and I must have fallen off their call back radar. It is getting quite full on and is starting to get a bit much. The calls start at 7:30 and can sometimes come through at 5pm.

This is CommInsure, a division of Commonwealth Bank. You probably would have received a letter in the mail regarding injury cash protection insurance, this is a follow up call. The caller is trained to get you hooked on a 30 day 'no cost' trial and will send you some documents. After 30 days they will automatically start debiting the premiums your account.My advice, don't answer or hang up.

I keep getting calls from (02) 8194 6262 and no fail, every time I pick up they hang up.  I get a call at least once every day on my direct land line at work.  My colleague suggested I call the number back and I did and it was a recorded message from Avon Direct Marketing Services on behalf of Insurers.  Is there any way they can be stopped as it's very annoying.....

Ok...for anyone that gets phone calls from anyone, from any company the law states.....

that calls must be between the hours of 9am - 8pm Monday - Friday and 9am - 5pm Saturday. They can not call you on any other day or outside the time frames so not on Sundays or PUBLIC HOLIDAYS or AFTER 8pm Mon-Fri or AFTER 5pm on Saturdays.

A telemarkter must hang up if a consumer (which is you on the other end of the phone) requests them to ....AND the telemarkter must then NOT call for at least 30 DAYS of being told not to ring.

IF any company rings you when you are on the DNCR or after hours or on Sundays or on Public holdiays they are in breach of the telecommunications Act.

You can make a complaint to the Telecommunications Ombudsman for your state.

You don not have to put up with phone calls you do not want....
