Scam from Westpac - Confirmed with Westpac a Scam

This is Westpac

Yeah this number is a scam. I keep getting calls asking for a name that sounds like mine but clearly isn’t. I’ve also never had a Westpac account.

this is westpac 100%. i forgot to pay for my homeloan lol

I feel it is Wespac or the scammer is top tier very unlikely ti be a scam, if you call some westpac department they scam, but put it this way if you call and are not with the bank it doesn't know your information

Caller: Allegedly Westpac but likely a scam

Automated call with a robot voice claiming to be Westpac chasing up a mortgage debt I supposedly owe. I picked up the first time they called but they have been repeatedly calling me 3-4 times a day since Monday. I instantly blocked this number the first time they called me as I was convinced that it is a scam. However, I can see that they been calling non-stop throughout the week due to the 'missed call' notifications I receive with that number displayed.

Caller: Westpac

**Legit Westpac number** Automated voice advising of a payment due on my mortgage. The voice said my full name and it asked me to enter my birth year. It advised that I had amount due on my mortgage when I already had a repayment amount directed debited on the same day. I called Westpac general line, asked to check (02) 8093 1106 was legit - they said it was not a recognised Westpac number and just in case they transferred me to the home loan department. It turns out the number is Westpac's and they had on their record the exact amount that was owing. The additional amount was due because August has 5 weeks and the direct debit only accounted for 4 weeks.

So much for Australian Government keeping it's people safe from scammers costing us everything.

Definitely not anything to do with WESTPAC BANKING. Confirmed with WESTPAC after 2 or 3 calls every day and night. It had my full name and asked me to confirm my birthdate for verification so be careful and block.

It's definitely not Westpac. This is a scam. I confirmed this with Westpac.

Reporting mortgage account overdue and immediate payment required. Having checked both my account and directly with Westpac this DEFINITELY a scam.

this number call me to many times from WEST PACK im no give any informacion and they still call me if this im not ansewr this numberis importan or urgent the Banck can send me a letter. or give mensenger im not answer this number.
