My mom received a call similar to this, the address they give is for Tourism NZ; and the name was unable to be recognized of the caller himself - though the details of the supervisor are Sean Mitchell; who supposedly needs drivers liscence details to get through to the supervisor. (Sean Mitchell is listed as the publisher of techday for NZ that is..) Feverishly tried to ask for contact, identity and monetary details - the only thing mom said was WHICH bank she was with and not her bank number. Originally the guy said he was from the NZ government, and then changed to saying Government Body, 147 Victoria Avenue Central Auckland 1010. (Tourism NZ)

got a call from some guy (indian or P***) , I think from international fonelink  although he says he was in Sydney at the time..Lying I am fairly sure!!. As all the others have written before me...same lines used::: I have $5248.00 waiting for me. I said send me a cheque, ok he says then starts asking me all the questions as other people above have been asked. I said to him..if you know how much to the exact cent I am owed , then why is it that u do not know which bank it is owed by ?.. He then started telling me about solicitors fees needing to be paid etc etc.. I said to him: but you have just spent the last 5 minutes telling me the exact figure """ a """ bank owes me... now you want to know which bank and are asking me for solicitors costs.....Naaaah ! , your are a scammer I said , in fact ( I was sitting at the computer when the phone call came in ) so I just googled the name of your Company and google lists about 30 items where you are shown to be scammers !! No no no he rants...yes yes yes I protested... He threatens me that if I am rude and discourteous to him that he will hang up on me......So, I dropped the phone on him..... Be warned ...these people are clever and devious !!

I have just received a call from Paul Smith from Bank Reclaim Experts who told me that I had $4851 owing to me from my bank and that they represented a department of the Australian Govt. He then told me to ring his supervisor and quote appication code MS141 (Mildred Parker ph (02) 8006 1421) I contacted her and she then rang me back after confirming my details on her file. Name, address DOB which they already knew!!!!She told me to go to the post office as I had to pay the tax before they would give me the cheque. I was instructed to send a money order in favor of S.P. Ray, Velhi, India for $199-00 plus $25 fee. She told me not to tell the post office that it was for tax as then they would charge me $100-00.She infiormed me that there was a representative (Jack Brown) in my area and that I had to do this before 2pm today. She even quoted the cheque number and gave me another ID # 38560091 that I had to quote to the representative. I asked her for the address of the head office and she told me 111 Bourke Street Melbourne and the phone number is (03) 9016 0580 - answering maching!!!!Do these people think we are total idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was given the same number (02) 8003 3865) by an Indian accented woman called Jennifer, claiming to be from Reclaim Expert with a link with Dept of Fair Trading.  Similar story of facilitating Bank overcharges.

I have had yet another call to my mobile from a person supposedly named Jennifer from the Department of Reclaim Expert informing me that I am entitled to overcharges by my bank of $3647. The first call last week was for $4560. She was Asian with an American accent and sometimes difficult to understand. She informed me that my name had come up as being overcharged but when I asked her what my name was she said it was represented by stars and couldn't tell me. She wanted my bank account details or my home address and full name. I gave her nothing but know she will keep trying. This has to be a scam and we have had enough shaky ploblems here since Sept 4th. Dont give out any information.

Hi, just recieved a call today 19/6/12 from a Sam Dhingra of the Australian Govt Reclaim dept. Sounded dodgy when he asked me to call his manager on (02) 8007 3802 with an application number so I can get a cheque of $5k+. I blasted him that he was involved in this scam, and as a fellow Indian, I told him how disgusted I was that he shamed all Indian's names by participating in the scam and that he should find a new job where he can make all Indians proud....and he asked me if I'd give him a job!!
Thanks to this website I realized rightaway it was a scam.
