Caller: Scammer

The usual automated message (Indian accent) claiming to be Australian Taxation Office, threatening legal action, blah blah blah.

Called the number - Indian-accented male answered as "Australian Taxation Office Investigations. Told him his mother should have swallowed, hung up, blocked the number.

Called me. Didn’t answer. Left an automated voice mail with computerised voice saying I had to call back immediately or the police would have to “get me arrested”

Missed this call but they left a message saying "You need to call back right away or we will get an arrest warrant and arrest you".
It was a robotic computerised voice.
Total scam.

why does the police not do anything about this?

Caller: sounded like an Asian American - said he was from ATO

Threatening message saying I was in default of my taxes and must get in touch to sort it out now or I would be arrested and go to jail.

I called back number (02) 8091 4660 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.
