Rang on Saturday afternoon 8.12.18 5.00 p.m. - Woman's voice said it was Tax Office - immediately cancelled call. - Scammer?

Recorded male voice from the ATO stating I would be arrested for fraud. I need to call this number immediately. I did not call back.

Message left on my answering machine. I was just told that there is a law suit debt filed under my name and if I didn't ring division 2 on the above number I would be issued with an arrest warrent and would be arrested so get back to us as soon as possible.

(South African woman's voice)

left a voice mail saying they would arrest me if i didn't return their phone call.
I didn't return the phone call.

Caller: I called back and a woman said the Australian Tax Office

I said that the call was a bit weird and unlikely and she hung up.

You missed a call from (02) 8091 2856, who said "Melissa(?) David(?) Lawson(?) getting filed under your name. Good man(?) and you receive this message I want you to get back to me on my department division(?) no. 280." This message was provided by Telstra at no charge to you.
Thought it was a scam but rang and couldn’t get through....

scam, automated message threatening an arrest warrant if you don't feel back

- first call was a missed call - rang back a bloke answered and cut off - then a message was left by a woman stating -If we do not get back an arrest warrant will be issued
we law abiding citizens and have no fear of these threats - but I hope the authorities catch them soon.

Had a voice mail. Computer voice saying there was a law suit against my name and had to call back otherwise I’d be arrested!
