Just saw your post about paranoid retards 'insight worker'. Funny :D Two (apparent) Insight workers, one insinuates that a person is deprived of intelligence for having a difference of opinion. The other blatantly calls someone a 'retard' for wanting to know who's be continuously calling their home phone. Resorting to name calling of the very people you are harrassing for money? It's us that do the name calling, not you.The irony struck me as humorous because you guys (or are you the same person?) are supposed to be charity workers?? Understanding, unlimited patience etc etc aren't these some of the traits that go with that territory? I will, in future, refrain from abuse and loosen the purse strings immediately.I'm sure the charities hold their champions dear, but really you should be leading by example.

Was once a great place to work for as you say. Now, it's all aboutwho can "suck" and "brown nose" who the best. The place is not about helping its charities, it's about taking as much as it canfrom the public, and "screwing" the charity. In my time, the companywould, and apparently still does, spend more money sacking loyalagents for having a few bad days, and hiring new staff, who they in the end....they treat no differently. "At Insight, we don't just loveYour work" "We love you". So they preached, or at least they diduntill you had days that making rate was hard, and you could notconvince people to give you a credit card. Personally, of the 21.1 millionprofit made by Insight in 2010, I hope loses it in a mass law-suit.

Hi Kelly-Anne. Members of the public can either donate, or buy entries in the art-unions. The companyteaches you to avoid asking for "donations", as 100% of the donation goes to the charity, and nothing to the company. Going into the art-union, that is buying entries in the raffle, the charity gets only 40%, and company pockets the rest. You have to convince the person on the phone to pay for their entries using a credit card, as them making a pledge to send cheque, money order, or B-Pay online, is not what keeps you as an agent employed. You could pledge and post a cheuqe for $20,000.00 to HRI or GMR, and that still would not secure your employment as a fundraiser, but had you of paid over the phone using a credit card, than that would secure your employment, provided you could continue to make people pay using a credit card. The company does not except that some members of the public go through financial difficulties, and claims that if one person can get $500.00, so too can every other agent on the floor. During my short time with the company, I was never encouraged to lie, but you were told that if the customer only wanted to do $30.00, you should "push" for $50.00, or if they only wanted to do $50.00, you should "push" for $100.00, and so on. To answer your question as to if I was "sacked", or "left" of my own accord, I was sacked for not getting enough people to pay for their entries using a credit card. Lots of people did, but some days people said no, and my overweight, inyaface, loud mouth obnoxious team leader, had me put under review, and I was sacked. I now work for another company that raises money for HRI, (Heart Research Institute) but we do not have any unrealistic targets to reach, we ask for credit card payments over the phone, but no pressure is put on us to get one, and its every six months that we go under review. The company takes into account all that you brought in for the six month period both on credit card, pledge, and donation. I know nothing about the law, so I can't answer if what Insight do with sacking staff the way they do is legal or not, but my dad says the way they do it is questionable.
