I just sent an email to Crown Content who does the 'real' Who's Who in Australia.  They have confirmed it is a scam and says it originates from overseas.  They have been unable to trace the number (02) 8078 6030, saying it is re-routed overseas.  Suggest everyone just recycles the paper.

I also received this fax.  02.09.09  I would say absolutely fishy!

Recieved bogus fax this morning would like to know scam behind it

MMM.  Thought this was a scam and sus. Glad I searched on it rather than fax back.  My fax had a header showing Fax ID (02) 7378 3739, sent from a Jennifer Collins, Editor.  No phone number or email contact.

Mine was also signed Lisa Smith (totally original)

I received the fax this morning they tried several times before I received the fax.   Dated 2 September 2009.Have you or any of the other recipients of the fax just had conversations of dealing with the Australian Tax Office re: ABN number etc?I thought I would find out more info and googled the fax number and Office of Public Affairs and found this site.What is going on??
