ATO SCAM

Call from Jennifer Smith at the Aust Tax Office left on my answering machine. Indian accent.

Claims that a tax fraud and that legal documents will be issued by a "courthouse".
Does not state against whom this action will be taken.

A threatening message was left on my answering machine, accusing me of tax fraud, if I did not respond I would then suffer the consequences of the courts.

SCAM LINE pretending to be Tax Office. Has been reported to ASIC and Federal Police

Had the same two abusive messages left also with no name and all of the above information

Same messages as above - received twice and just deleted them. Indian female saying she is from Tax and I must call them - second message was more threatening.

Same here, just reported them and the number they wanted me to call back on to Scamwatch

We just had the same message left with a call back number of (02) 8073 4471

Same as all of the above - threatening legal action, saying we are guilty of tax fraud, did not refer to anyone by name.

Received a legal loan against your name, concerning tax fraud. And I don't even pay tax!

I have had two of these left this week and they are quite abusive but do not say who the call is for!!

Ongoing scam I have had phone calls from two different numbers for the same ATO scam since April 2016 and another different number around August last year.

Got call Friday, saying I must call immediately over a tax fraud, or face courts.....f&$king scum

Female left a threatening voicemail about legal charges for tax fraud. Gave no name and didn't refer to me by name.

Same as above. Tax fraud scam.

Same message, mine from a female with Indian? accent. Left on answering m/c as I normally don't answer a call with an unknown number.

Called my Perth home today & left threating message pretending to be Tax Office . Ignored & deleted
